A writ petition has been filed in the Supreme Court against the government’s ban on the social network Tiktok. Half a dozen writs were registered on the day the office opened after the Tihar holiday. Senior advocate Dinesh Tripathi submitted the writ to the Supreme Court as soon as the office opened on Friday.

Advocates Dinesh Tripathi Swagat Nepal, Jagannath Dulal and others have filed the writ petition. They have demanded to reverse the decision of the government saying that it is completely unconstitutional.

Meanwhile, the Supreme Court has fixed November 4 for the first hearing on the petition filed against the Tiktok ban. As tomorrow is Saturday and Percy Chhat is a public holiday, the hearing has been scheduled for Monday.
