Indian troops must leave Maldives by March 15 – Mohammad Muizzoo

The Mohamad Muizzoo government of the Maldives has asked the Indian Army to leave the country by March 15. Chief Secretary to the President, Abdullah Nazim Ibrahim, held a press conference on Sunday and gave this information. According to news agency PTI, according to the latest government data, there are currently 88 Indian soldiers in the Maldives. Mohammad Muizzu gave the slogan ‘India out’ during the election campaign. After becoming the President, Mohammad Muizzu’s government asked India to withdraw its troops. Now on Sunday i.e. January 14th, the Muijju government has asked the Indian Army to leave the Maldives by March 15th. Recently there was a difference between India and the Maldives on the issue of Lakshadweep. The Maldives government suspended ministers who made objectionable comments on Prime Minister Modi’s Lakshadweep photo.
