World Cup Qualifying Football: Nepal lost to UAE by a wide margin

On Thursday, the Nepalese team lost in their first match in the second round of the qualifying tournament of the Asian region of the World Cup football to be held in 2026. In the match under Group H, United Arab Emirates (UAE) defeated Nepal by a wide margin of 4-0 goals at home. The Nepali team was behind by 4-0 goals in the first half of the game. The home team UAE scored a goal in the 11th minute of the match. Khalifa Al Hamadi scored for UAE. UAE also scored the second goal in the first half of the game.

The second goal for UAE was scored by Ali Mabkhout in the 37th minute of the scheduled time through a penalty. The third goal for UAE was also scored by Ali Mabkhout in the 44th minute of the scheduled time. Fabio Lima added the fourth goal for UAE in the first minute of the injury time of the first half. In the second half of the game, Nepal showed some improvement. Therefore, the Nepalese team, which looked innocent in the first half, did not score any more goals in the second half. This is the second round of qualifying tournament for the Asian Cup to be held in 2027.
